Order for founding a town

  1. Pick a safe region

For permanent builds, choose a spot in the main world. Mining worlds are for gathering resources; check the world's rules before founding a town.

  2. Create your town

/t new <isim>Towny command starts the creation flow. Verify the required money and permission conditions from the in-game message.

  3. Expand your land

Manage your claims, plots and borders with the town menu or Towny commands. Check the town balance and daily upkeep before every expansion.

  4. Set player permissions

Separate member, helper and manager roles. Test build, chest and door permissions from the town menu before leaving them open to everyone.

Growing your town

Town bank

Track the town balance for claims, taxes and other expenses. Don't mix the mayor's money with town money.

Plot layout

Plan houses, shops, farms and shared areas as separate plots. Give each player only the plot they need.

Nations and sieges

Learn the nation and SiegeWar flow after this basic protection setup. The town's exact fees, limits and world flags were summarised from live settings on the Town Rules and Costs page.

This summary covers the starting flow. In the current server settings, a new town is verified at $200, a claim at $15, upkeep at $5 and the town limit at 3000; for all values, see the detailed Towny page.
