Essence Pouch: In the story chain, Morgana unlocks the Essence Pouch after you show her your first Life Essence. Essences can be stored in the pouch and used on the blacksmith / charm / alchemy paths. Player balances are not published.

Element identities

Life Life Essence

Look: Emerald · model 9101. A live drop line sourced from Zombies, Skeletons and Creepers.

Flame Flame Essence

Look: Blaze Powder · model 9102. The Blaze, Magma Cube and Wither Skeleton line.

Void Void Essence

Look: Amethyst Shard · model 9103. The Enderman, Shulker, Wither and Ender Dragon line.

Earth Earth Essence

Look: Raw Copper · model 9104. The diamond, emerald and Ancient Debris mining line.

Chance is the configured drop probability for each eligible mob event. Min–max shows the amount you get on a successful drop.

How often a block appears in the mining world depends on world generation and reset state; this table only shows the essence drop chance when a block is broken.

Spending order for essences

  1. Open the pouch with Life

    Show Morgana a Life Essence in the story. This introduces the safe storage and progression side of essences.

  2. Learn your first alchemy with Earth

    The Kadim Cauldron step in the quest uses 4 Earth Essences + 1 Coal; keep an eye on the cauldron until the conversion finishes.

  3. Save Flame / Void for the endgame

    Flame and Void are used heavily in high-level Spellbound / Incendium / Stellarity recipes. Compare the recipe costs.
